Vintage Rolex Datejust 36 ref 16014 (1980) was one of the last truly vintage Datejusts, coming to market around the late 1970s and continuing production until around 1988. It’s a curious model because it sports a higher-beat movement (caliber 3035) with a Quickset date, as well as an older-style acrylic crystal. The next generation would update the movement to caliber 3135 and swap the crystal for a tougher sapphire. For many, ref. 16014 is an accessible entryway not only to vintage ownership but also to Rolex ownership as a whole. Features include the famous time-and-date dial. It also sports a white gold fluted bezel and a stainless steel bracelet and case. Shop Rolex Datejust 36 Collection
