Pre-owned Tudor Black Bay ref 79230 (2016 – 2024) was released in 2016, introducing several noteworthy upgrades to the immensely popular collection. For starters, the movement was upgraded from the outsourced ETA movement to the in-house caliber MT5602 with a longer 70-hour power reserve, compared to the ETA caliber with a 38-hour power reserve. Additionally, the dial is now decorated with the Tudor Shield instead of the older-style rose logo. Upgrades aside, this Tudor bears all the usual vintage-inspired BB design elements, including that large crown without modern guards, chamfered lugs, and a gilt-style dial.
