Pre-owned Rolex Sea-Dweller ref 16600 (2000 – 2001) has one of the longest-running chapters in the model’s history, produced from 1989 through around 2009. It carried forward the core formula established by the earlier “Triple Six,” pairing a 40mm Oyster case with a sapphire crystal and a substantial 1,220-meter depth rating. It features a black dial and black bezel, plus a helium escape valve to support its incredible water resistance. Over its two-decade run, the dial evolved from tritium to Luminova and eventually Super-LumiNova, which you can identify by the small text at the bottom of the dial. This model has the latter. Most notably, there’s no Cyclops here, just a flat crystal and a more understated look compared to modern versions. It’s a classic tool watch, and for a lot of collectors, this is the last of the traditional Sea-Dwellers before the collection started to change. Shop Rolex Sea-Dweller Collection
