Pre-owned Rolex Yacht-Master II Ref 116680 (2019) is one of the most purpose-built watches Rolex has ever made. Unlike most of the lineup, this one was designed specifically for yacht racing, with a programmable regatta timer that can count down to the start of a race. It’s a niche complication, but also one of the most technically interesting in the catalog. The 44mm steel case is paired with a blue Cerachrom bezel that actually works with the movement through Rolex’s Ring Command system, allowing the countdown timer to be set and synced mechanically. This later version features the updated dial with Mercedes-style hands and an inverted triangle at 12, replacing the earlier full set of square markers for a cleaner, more familiar look. It’s bold on the wrist and unapologetically different from a Submariner or GMT.
