Pre-owned Rolex Submariner ref. 116610 (2010 – 2020) marked a big shift for the collection when it was introduced in 2010. It was the first stainless steel time-and-date Submariner to feature a ceramic Cerachrom bezel, replacing the aluminum insert used on earlier models. That change alone gave it a more modern look, along with improved scratch and fade resistance. Compared to the previous ref 16610, the differences are pretty noticeable once you have them side by side. The 116610 introduced the so-called “super case,” with broader lugs and crown guards, giving it a more substantial presence on the wrist. The dial also features larger hour markers and hands, filled with longer-lasting luminescent material.
