Pre-owned Rolex GMT-Master II ref 16710 (2002). The first Rolex Pepsi came to market back in the 1950s. Decades later, it’s still widely sought after by collectors in the know, particularly “vintage” models with the older-style aluminum insert. To give you a bit of background on this watch, the GMT Master debuted in the 1950s under ref. 6542. That watch was outfitted with a red-and-blue insert to distinguish between AM and PM while tracking a second time zone. It was a massive success and Rolex quickly go to work improving upon its design. Bakelite bezels were replaced with aluminum, and, eventually, the acrylic crystal was swapped out for more resilient sapphire. Then, in the late 1980s, the GMT Master II came along, featuring an independent GMT hand. Ref. 16710 is the second iteration of that watch, replacing the original GMT Master II ref. 16760 and bringing with it a slimmer movement and case. This model was eventually replaced by the incoming 6-digit gerenation with ceramic bezels. For many, it’s the last of the true vintage Rolex Pepsi watches, and it’s available here for a very competitive price. Shop Rolex GMT-Master II Collection
