Pre-owned Rolex GMT-Master ref 16700 (1989) was the last watch to carry the GMT-Master name before Rolex eventually retired the collection in favor of the GMT-Master II. While the GMT-Master II had an independently adjustable GMT hand, the GMT-Master retained the simpler functionality that had made the collection famous since its debut in the 1950s. Today, collectors love the ref. 16700 precisely because it represents the end of an era. This example features the sought-after black and red “Coke” bezel, one of the most recognizable GMT bezel combinations ever produced.
