NASA gave Omega its coveted Silver Snoopy Award in 1970 for the brand’s part in the ill-fated Apollo 13 mission and its various other contributions towards space exploration. This watch celebrates the 50th anniversary of that award and is a bonafide collector favorite for its charming blue and white design set, integration of the beloved Snoopy character, and unmistakable Moonwatch design codes. It features a classic 42mm stainless steel case with twisted Lyre lugs, a blue nylon strap, a silver dial with blue PVD hour markers and hands, and a blue ceramic bezel with a white enamel tachymeter scale. Snoopy appears several times on the non-limited edition watch, including in the sub-dial at 9 o’clock and on the case back as he flies over the far side of the Moon in his Command and Service Module (CSM) on a hand that cleverly rotates when the chronograph is in use.
