The Rolex “Paul Newman” Daytona reference 6241 is one of the most desirable vintage Rolex chronographs. This Daytona features a bold “exotic” dial with unique box markers in the chronograph sub-dials. These chronographs earned the nickname “Paul Newman” because the beloved actor wore a Daytona reference 6239 with this exact exotic dial. Paul Newman Daytonas always feature a red outer seconds track, white dial, and black registers with white printing. The reference 6241 featured pump pushers to start, stop, and reset the chronograph (later models featured screw-down pushers to increase water resistance). Furthermore, the reference 6241 features a black acrylic bezel with a tachymeter track for measuring speeds, compared with the steel bezel found on the reference 6239. This watch features a manual-winding Valjoux chronograph movement that was regulated by Rolex. Shop Rolex Daytona Collection
