This vintage Rolex Submariner ref. 168000 (1987) features a 40mm stainless steel case with a black dial and unidirectional timing bezel, representing a rare transitional chapter in Rolex history. This used watch is powered by the Rolex Caliber 3035 automatic movement, delivering reliable performance and classic mechanical precision. This pre-owned model is fitted with a stainless steel Oyster bracelet and secured by a Fliplock clasp, providing a durable and comfortable fit for everyday wear. This 168000 is in overall great, vintage condition. The case is in great condition with some scratches and normal signs of wear. The numbers are clearly visible and crisp between the lugs. The inside caseback is stamped “16800.” The bezel insert is in great condition with little signs of wear; it is a later service replacement. The dial is in good, attractive condition and has developed a unique patina throughout giving it more of a matted look throughout; the dial has developed some patina around the hour markers that can be hard to notice. This watch has a 93150 bracelet with 12 links, no. 593 end links and divers extension. The divers extension shows some wear. The clasp is stamped “L2” indicating it is from 1987. The bracelet is in overall great condition with some scratches and normal signs of wear; it has light stretch between the links.
