Pre-owned Rolex Day-Date 36 ref 1803 (1965). The first Day-Date models came to market in 1956, initially with either a fluted or smooth bezel, and on the 5-link Jubilee bracelet (references 6510 & 6511). The ref. 1803 followed suit a few years later in 1959 and remained a permanent fixture in the collection’s lineup, marking the last generation to feature an acrylic crystal and a Pie Pan dial. Rolex would swap to tougher sapphire and more contemporary flat dials after the 4-digit series. The example you see here is crafted in white gold and features a sophisticated black leather strap, a fascinating design set for those interested in getting into Rolex Presidential ownership without the usual premium of a full gold model.
