Pre-owned Rolex Datejust ref 16013 (1979) is a classic two-tone Rolex. A watch sought after by countless men and women since its launch in the late 1970s. The Datejust itself was released in 1945, making it the first self-winding wristwatch with an automatically changing date display. Two-tone models have been a cornerstone of the collection for decades, thanks to their timeless, versatile aesthetics. However, ref. 16013 is an interesting variation because it features the higher-beat caliber 3035 with a Quickset for the date, yet still carries the vintage acrylic crystal. It would later be discontinued by ref. 16233 with a sapphire crystal and the caliber 3135, giving this model a fascinating place in the lineup. The example you see here pairs the two-tone finish with a matching champagne dial decorated with gold and Tritium. Shop Rolex Datejust 36 Collection
