Pre-owned Rolex Cellini Prince ref 5440 (2005 – 2006) is one of the more unexpected designs to come out of Rolex. The Cellini Prince itself is a modern reinterpretation of a rectangular model from the 1920s. Rolex brought it back with a more refined, dress-focused approach, and, for that, it occupies its own unique space within the brand’s vast portfolio. This reference keeps that Art Deco influence front and center. The dial is split into two sections, with a main display for hours and minutes and a separate subdial below for small seconds. There’s a subtle hobnail texture across the dial that adds depth without overpowering it, along with stepped bezels on either side of the case that give it a bit more structure. Crafted in 28mm yellow gold and paired with a leather strap, it wears slim and classic. Inside is a hand-wound movement, visible through an exhibition caseback, a first of its kind from the brand at the time. The Cellini line as a whole has since been discontinued, which only adds to the appeal for anyone looking for something a little different from the brand. Shop Rolex Cellini Prince Collection
