Pre-owned Rolex GMT-Master ref. 16710 (2000) was one of the last GMTs to feature not only an aluminum bezel but also a red-and-black “Coke” insert. This colorway was discontinued alongside the aluminum GMTs, making way for a new generation of ceramic-bezeled watches with different bezel colorways. Many collectors still coveted the Coke bezel. If you find yourself among them, ref. 16710 is an excellent option to consider. It has the slimmer case proportions than its predecessor, the 16760 “Fat Lady,” as well as Super-LumiNova hour markers and the caliber 3185 with an independent 24-hour hand.
