Pre-owned Rolex Daytona ref. 116505 (2010) marked an important milestone in the history of Rolex’s legendary chronograph as the very first Daytona crafted entirely from the brand’s proprietary 18k Everose gold. Introduced in 2008, the ref. 116505 debuted several years before Rolex launched the similar-looking ref. 116515. While both are Everose Daytonas, they have distinctly different personalities. The ref. 116505 features a matching Everose gold tachymeter bezel and full Everose Oyster bracelet for a seamless precious-metal aesthetic, whereas the later ref. 116515 paired Everose gold with a black Cerachrom bezel and leather strap before eventually transitioning to the Oysterflex bracelet in 2017.
