Omega produced the Speedmaster Professional ref. 145.022 for several years between 1968 and the 1980s, during which several variations came to market. While there are many nuances between each variation, they all follow the same Speedmaster Pro blueprint consisting of a Tachymeter bezel, a chronograph movement, and three accompanying sub-dials. The reference 145.022-74 is a striking edition of the series. It features a Hesalite crystal, and the caliber 861 hand-wound movement – the successor to the famous caliber 321. Flipping the watch over, the case back has the distinction “Flight-Qualified by NASA For All Manned Space Missions” circling the Speedmaster Hippocampus. We love how the once black bezel has aged to a lovely grey color and come collectors would call this a “ghost bezel.” Shop OMEGA Speedmaster Collection
