Instead, it has the more traditional wire-style lugs and an onion-shaped crown, both rooted in the brand’s earliest military designs. The 45mm steel case has a softer, more vintage feel on the wrist, especially when paired with a leather strap. The black dial follows the familiar Panerai layout, with a sandwich configuration, small seconds at 9 o’clock, and a date window at 3 for a bit of added practicality. It’s clean, legible, and very much in line with the Black Seal name. This reference is the automatic version of the model, powered by the OP III caliber, which gives you the convenience of self-winding while keeping the overall look traditional.
