Pre-owned Grand Seiko Elegance Collection ref SBGY007 (2026). Grand Seiko has a long tradition of drawing inspiration from the natural landscapes surrounding its studios in Japan, and this model looks to Lake Suwa, near the Shinshu Watch Studio where it’s made. In winter, the lake sometimes freezes and forms a dramatic ridge of cracked ice known as the Omiwatari, a phenomenon tied to local legend that says it marks the path where the gods walk across the frozen water. The pale blue dial captures that scene beautifully, with a textured surface that resembles fractured ice stretching across the lake. The watch itself is elegantly restrained, housed in a clean case and paired with a leather strap that fits the understated tone of the Elegance Collection. Inside is the hand-wound Spring Drive caliber 9R31, featuring a dual spring barrel that delivers a 72-hour power reserve. Flip the watch over and you can see the movement through the exhibition caseback, along with the power reserve indicator.
